EAGLE POINT RESORT, ANILAO, BATANGAS: WORK AND LEISURE IN STYLE

As we alighted from our van atop the cliff overlooking Balayan Bay, the first thing that greeted us was the peaceful serenity of the seas of Anilao as the distant island of Mindoro stands like a ocean sentry guarding its awesome beauty.

This is the Eagle Point Resort.  A coastal resort perched along the cliffs of Anilao and situated at the northernmost tip of the peninsula.  The resort begins where paved roads end.

We have to park our vehicles on top because the roads leading to the resort are steep and the resort provides shuttles to transport us safely to the resort and back.  At first I thought it will just be a simple, smooth travel going down.  What we weren't expecting is the rollercoaster ride of our lives going down.  When we arrived there we were all dazed and didn't realize what had just happened.  I was disappointed not to have the recorded the trip on video.  It would have been a memorable moment for all.

We were so impressed by the classy landscape and architectural design of the resort that my friend and colleague Ruth gave a double thumbs up for the place!

I did a little bit of exploring and found that the resort is isolated from the nearby resort because it is perched precariously along the cliff making it inaccessible to people.  The place enjoys its exclusivity from annoying vendors that usually ply the long stretch beaches.  So we really had the place to ourselves.  It has a clean swimming pool.  Only few guests are swimming during our stay.  There were many Caucasian tourists so I think this resort is a little bit up-class.  The swimming pool overlooks the cliff.

This is the view of the resort hotel.  Each room has a veranda that overlookks Anilao Bay.  It is fully furnished with air-conditioned carpeted floors with cable channels on a wide LCD screen TV.  Hot and cold shower and that classy feeling.  The wall I am sitting on is the shark pool where one can do some diving in close encounter with the shark.

Here is a snapshot of the room to convince you.

This is the mooring port where scuba divers cast off for the day's dive.

In the evening, we were treated with a sumptous buffet dinner and as you can see, it is indeed a smorgasbord delight.

In the morning, we were again treated to an eat-all-you can breakfast with matching deliciously brewed coffee.

With a view like this during breakfast, lunch and dinner, is there anything more you can ask for?  This is definitely having your vacation in style.

See!  Everyone is up in smiles.  Let's toast to that!

This is definitely one great morning to wake up from!

Another view of the sea you can boast of.

There is also this cliffside veranda where you can sip your favorite drink and surf the internet thru their wi-fi and simply enjoy the scenery of the pool and the ocean.

At dusk you get to enjoy the solemnity of the sea but the sun sets in the far left so there was no way of getting a clear sunset shot.

The entire resort itself is a spectacular view showcasing a well-manicured vegetation in a precarious cliff side landscape.

In the evening, you can lounge of in their living room and enjoy the evening's entertainment of bossa music that's cool and relaxing while digesting your dinner away.

In the morning you can stroll around the resort and do some picture taking with the calm sea as your background.

If you opt to stay in your room, you can just laze the day away watching movies on cable television.

There's also a pool table and table tennis as added recreation in between swimming or diving.

You can just be awed by the beauty of the sea as our group watches the day fades into the night.

Coffee by the sea like this would be the best coffee you'll drink in your lifetime.

We took a dip in the pool for a night time swim before hitting the sack.  You can just see how clean and clear the water is.

Eagle Point Resort is definitely a must for everyone looking for an Anilao diving adventure in style!

Everything is great here so I give this resort a hands-down in accomodation and food.
