UNWINDING IN ELVIS PRESLEY-INSPIRED LEISURE ESTATE: GRACELAND ESTATE AND COUNTRY CLUB

Graceland Resort Estate and Country Club is one place you'll definitely come back to when you visit Lucban, Quezon.  Thanks to my colleague and friend Engr. Badette, PCO of the place, graciously hosted our stay in the resort where we coincided it with an action planning of our working committee.  The place is indeed a splendid work of restructuring the landscape to its natural climax community.  Although still dominantly anthropogenic, meaning the place still has its artificial identity, nevertheless given time, it will definitely undergo its natural period of succession and ultimately be ecologically sustainable in the future.  What is important however, to the the visitor's perspective, is the awesome impact it delivers to your senses!  The place is indeed a surefire stress reliever and definitely a great getaway for some genuine rest and relaxation away from the madding crowd of urban life.

Rising up in the morning is an exhilarating experience as you are greeted by fresh air, manicured greenery and electric blue morning sky.  All the stress brought in yesterday was immediately wiped out by the ambiance of Graceland.  I am indeed lucky to have a friend who have access to this resort.  The accommodation was splendid as I slept the night peacefully in a very cozy bed cooled by a very quiet air-conditioner.  This is one of the finest places that I've ever been.
A morning stroll around Graceland will provide you with a glimpse of the many other types of accommodation that the resort offers.  Ranging from individual rooms, duplex, villa and even a camping ground to those who want to be earth bound thru the night.  We stayed in one of the villas where each of us and companions have each room for their own.  The entire estate could be explored either by walking or jogging or even biking around as bikes are provided for a fee.  Last night's rest was really refreshing as we unwind to the tune of country and folk songs rendered by resident entertainers of the estate.
